Outlook Login Correction

HOW TO

This tutorial is intended for users already migrated from Google/GMail to Outlook 365 – to guide through initial login – and, if already logged in, but not receiving emails or seeing migrated emails – to correct the situation and get logged back in properly to see migrated content successfully.

Launch Outlook (New Outlook) on your computer.

If this login screen displays - you should click “Cancel” on it. However…

If already signed in and having issues not receiving emails, select the gear cog in the top right corner

This should bring you to a Settings screen with ‘Accounts’ and ‘Your Accounts’ already selected - which is correct.

On the right side of the box, scroll down (if necessary) until you can select “Manage” next to your email

*Note:  If you are having the symptoms mentioned above, you may see this beside an email indicated as a GMail, if there are multiple accounts listed, each with ‘Manage’ buttons.

Select Remove

Another pop up should display, where you’ll select “Remove from this device”, and then click “OK”.

This will bring you back to another login screen. Just click “Continue”

This will bring you back again to another ‘Sync your GMail Account’ screen, where you’ll click “Cancel”.

This will bring you to an “Advanced Login” screen, where you’ll click “Advanced Setup”.

On the “Select your EMail Provider” screen, click “Microsoft 365”, and continue.

This should finally bring you to your Microsoft 365 login screen - where you’ll go ahead and log in with your MS 365 login email & password.

This should correctly log you in, and bring you into your correct Outlook, where all your email and other Outlook features should already be populated for you!
